Current exhibition

Moghbazar

Colored pencil drawings by Anusha Alamgir

Anusha Alamgir maps the rooftops of Moghbazar in colored pencil — a dense pastel skyline of water tanks, antennas and clotheslines. Kites and fledgling birds thread through the drawing, carrying the neighborhood's daily life up into the Dhaka sky.

About the museum

A museum for contemporary art in Dhaka.

MOCAD gathers and shows the art being made here, now: exhibitions of artists from the Dhaka region and beyond, a growing collection kept in rotation, and a public record of the neighborhood — its rooftops, its crowds, its skies — drawn and photographed.

Education runs through everything we do. Alongside each exhibition the museum hosts talks, studio visits and school programs, keeping contemporary art part of the city's everyday rhythm.
